The European Union (EU) will work closely with the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) to address the impact of climate change in the country.
A collaborative approach between SODMA and the EU Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid is in line to address the impact of climate change.
SODMA Commissioner Mahamuud Moallim revealed this when he held talks with Maciej Popowski, the Director-General of the EU Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid.
Moallim’s meeting with Popowski took place in Mogadishu on Tuesday.
They agreed on the importance of pursuing a collaborative approach as the solution for incessant droughts and floods that affect Somalia thereby causing massive humanitarian crises.
