The European Union and World Health Organization have donated tons of medical supplies to various hospitals in Somalia.
According to EU and WHO, the supplies are crucial for victims of the recent heavy rains, which have left thousands of Somalis displaced, hungry, and sick.
The donation includes medical kits for testing and treating cholera.
A tweet sent out by EU in Somalia, said that the over 12,000kgs of supplies would be delivered to hospitals in Jowhar, Beledweyne, Baidowa, and Kismayo.
The first flights carrying the supplies already departed Mogadishu. More flights are expected to depart for their respective destinations from tomorrow.
