The European Union (EU) honored all Somali women engineers on February 11 as the world celebrated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
While acknowledging the role that women in science continue to play in Somalia, EU promised not to stop supporting them.
EU has been one of the biggest supporters of women and girls in science in the East African nation.
Its support has been extended through the technical and vocational education and training programs in Somalia.
Moreover, EU has also contributed towards the education of Somali women by enabling them to pursue their careers in science.
