The European Union (EU) has pledged increased support toward P/CVE and de-radicalization in Somalia.
It pledged to continue supporting efforts by the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) to stop radicalization in the country.
Recently, the Steering Committee of the “Strength Through Tolerance” project, which is funded by the EU, met in Mogadishu.
Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama led the delegation of Somali government officials.
The program, which seeks to provide youths with better alternatives and ideas to keep them away from radicalized movements, has been in operation since 2019.
