During the National Consultative Council (NCC) summit held in Mogadishu, Somali leaders were urged to prioritize national unity and cooperation in addressing the country’s ongoing challenges.
Ex-Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire called on those attending the conference to prioritize unity instead of chaos during their discussions.
The summit, which started on October 2, brings together President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, regional state leaders, and other key officials.
Their discussions will likely focus on critical issues such as federalism, security, and the fight against terrorism.
Participants emphasized the importance of working together to strengthen governance, promote reconciliation, and ensure stability across Somalia.
The leaders were also called upon to enhance their collective efforts in advancing peacebuilding and accelerating development initiatives to meet the needs of the Somali people.
