Ex-President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed says that he is traveling to Garowe for “crucial political consultations.”
The former President is expected in Garowe in the next few hours.
He will hold talks with ex-President Mohamed Farmaajo as well as President Said Abdullahi Deni of the regional state of Puntland.
Sharif confirmed that he is already en route to the Puntland city.
Farmaajo arrived in Garowe on Thursday.
According to Sharif, the three leaders would meet with other stakeholders to discuss the future of the East African nation.
Sharif and Farmaajo have been at the forefront in opposing the amendments to the nation’s Provisional Constitution.
