Former presidents of Somalia are expected in Garowe for a meeting with President Said Abdullahi Deni of the regional state of Puntland.
The former presidents expected in Garowe are Mohamed Farmaajo and Sheikh Sharif.
Ex-President Farmaajo has already arrived in the Puntland city. The plane carrying him arrived in the city on Thursday.
His colleague ex-President Sharif is expected any time soon.
Both former leaders will hold discussions on a wide range of issues with their host President Deni.
Mostly, their discussions are likely to focus on the planned amendments of the Somali Provisional Constitution.
Farmaajo and Sharif have been at the forefront of opposing the plans by Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to amend the constitution.
