A former commander of the Somali National Army (SNA) has been sentenced to death for smuggling explosives.
Somalia’s Armed Forces Court found Sharif Mohamed guilty of smuggling explosives into Muqdisho.
The military court also found him guilty of facilitating the buying of weapons for Al-Shabaab terrorists.
