A former military captain will spend the next 10 years of his life in jail for killing a civilian.
Ex-Captain Shegow Ahmed Ali was jailed after a military court found him guilty of killing Sakariye Mohamed Ali.
The court found Shegow and members of his militia guilty of killing Sakariye.
Furthermore, the court ordered Shegow to compensate the family of the late Sakariye. Shegow is also expected to compensate the family of Abdullahi Hussein Abdukhadir.
Together with his militia, Shegow wounded Abdukhadir, a Deputy Officer.
Shegow committed these offenses when his militia clashed with government troops.
