Hassan Sheikh, a former President of Somalia, launched a scything attack on Fahad Yasin, the Director of National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).
Ex-President Sheikh’s attack came on the day 12 presidential candidates met in Mogadishu to discuss electoral issues.
While responding to a question raised by a member of the audience during a Q&A session, he accused Yasin of “destroying politics.”
Sheikh said that Yasin, a close confidant of President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo, had already succeeded in destroying NISA and the Somali Police Force (SPF).
He said that Yasin’s next objective was to destroy the country’s politics.
Several political leaders around the country have blamed Yasin of meddling in politics to ensure that Farmaajo’s side emerges victorious.
