Kani Torun, a former Ambassador of Turkey in Somalia, has commended the recent speech by Puntland leader on President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.
On February 21, Puntland’s President Said Abdullahi Deni issued a statement criticizing Farmaajo’s commitment to holding elections in Somalia.
Deni’s speech also criticized the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) for not showing enough commitment to pursue stability, peace, and security in the country.
On Wednesday, Torun said that Deni was right in his comments about Farmaajo and FGS.
He urged the international community to take note of Deni’s comments.
Torun believes that the international community should step in to help Somalia solve its electoral stalemate.
