Somalis whose loved ones were interred at a Mogadishu cemetery have 10 days to exhume the bodies and bury them elsewhere.
The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) issued the notice on Tuesday.
It said that families that buried their loved ones at the School Policia Cemetery in the capital city have 10 days to abide by the new directive.
Through the Ministry of Defense, the government said that it intends to repossess and repurpose the land.
Forthwith, the land would be used as a command center for the Somali Navy as well as the Coast Guard forces.
