The family of a legendary Somali singer who was buried in a Mogadishu cemetery is ready to exhume him in line with government directives.
Mohamed Suleiman Tubec, a legendary singer whose remains lie at the Police Academy Cemetery, will be exhumed.
His exhumation follows a recent directive by the government requesting families to exhume their loved ones from the cemetery for burial elsewhere.
This happened after the government announced plans to reuse the large piece of land on which the cemetery lies. Several playwrights, singers, and musicians were buried at the cemetery.
