FAO and Livestock Ministry Launch IPC Level 1 Training for Somali Institutions

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) launched an Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) Level 1 Training in Somalia.

The training, which is the joint work of FAO and the Ministry of Livestock and Forestry, and Range, kicked off on Tuesday.

FAO’s Food Security and Nutrition Analysis Unit (FSNAU) intends to use the training to support the livestock ministry’s efforts.

The training is part of FSNAU’s desire to develop the capacity of Somali institutions to utilize IPC analysis more effectively.
