The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has launched an appeal for urgent humanitarian assistance for 25 percent of Somalis.
FAO issued the appeal on March 1.
According to the global organization, close to a quarter of all Somalis in the East African nation are feeling the worst effects of the ongoing drought.
FAO commended the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) for distributing life-saving supplies to thousands of households around the country.
