The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has called for an urgent scale-up of humanitarian support in Somalia’s rural communities.
FAO made this call on Saturday, July 16.
It issued this call after a farming community walked more than 140kms from the Bay region to Dollow in search of humanitarian assistance.
The community trekked after their crops failed, animals died, and jobs dried up.
The ongoing drought in Somalia continues to put many lives and livelihoods in the East African nation at risk.
