FAO Celebrates 160 Somali Women Trained under Resilient Initiative

Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has celebrated the 160 Somali women who were trained under its “Resilient Initiative Project.”

Under the project, FAO seeks to train women in Beerato Village to find ways of overcoming the impact of the changing climate.

Consequently, several women come together in groups to undertake farming projects that allow them to earn income.

Additionally, the goal of the Resilient Initiative Project is to make Somali women financially independent.

On January 6, FAO celebrated the achievements of women who are part of the initiative.

It promised to continue supporting this initiative to enable more women to withstand the negative effects of climate change.
