The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) expects drought situations in Somalia to worsen.
FAO issued its latest report on the ongoing situation in Somalia on May 25.
In the report, FAO says that the Gu rainfall season is likely to end sooner than initially expected.
Over the last two weeks, Somalia has witnessed a significant reduction in rainfall.
FAO mentions that the reduced rains provide a cause for concern considering that some parts of the country never received adequate rainfall.
The FAO report shows that only a few areas in the country will experience light rains in the next seven days as the rest of Somalia experiences dry conditions again.
