The latest report by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) shows that food insecurity in Somalia has been worsening due to the impact of reduced humanitarian aid.
In its report, the global organization cites rising displacement due to drought and conflict as another factor responsible for the deteriorating situation in the East African nation.
Furthermore, it adds that acute malnutrition burden for 2025 has risen from 1.7 million to 1.8 million children in Somalia. Consequently, FAO has urged all stakeholders to intervene first before the situation worsens.
