A farewell dinner was held on January 19 for the outgoing head of the Italian Embassy in Somalia.
The Ministry of Health held the dinner in honor of Dr. Guglielmo Giordano.
Dr. Giordano steps down as the Head of the Italian Embassy in Somalia, which has its offices in Mogadishu.
Dr. Fawziya Abikar Nur, the Minister of Health, commended Dr. Giordano for establishing a close working relationship with her ministry in the last six years.
During the farewell dinner, the health ministry presented Dr. Giordano with an Honorary Certificate.
Multiple speakers at the farewell dinner commended Somalia and Italy for the friendship and cooperation established during Dr. Giordano’s tenure in office.
