Somalia and Somaliland leaders spoke about the terrible fire that razed thousands of business premises at a market in Hargeisa on Friday night.
Somalia’s President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo and Somaliland’s President Muse Bihi Abdi spoke on the phone on Saturday.
They spoke a few hours after the inferno razed through Waaheen Market in the Somaliland capital on the night of April 1.
Over 2,000 businesspeople at the market are now without premises from which to operate.
They also could do nothing as the blaze destroyed their products.
Additionally, around 28 are in hospital receiving treatment for the injuries sustained during the shocking incident.
