President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo chaired the first session of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and Federal Member States (FMS) meeting in Dhusamareb.
Farmaajo chaired the meeting held in the Galmudug capital city on February 3.
Apart from Farmaajo, other leaders attending the National FGS-FMS Conference on elections include Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble.
The five regional state leaders together with the Omar Filish, the Governor of Banaadir Region, are also in Dhusamareb for the conference.
Farmaajo and Roble have been in Dhusamareb since February 1.
Security has been tightened in the region to allow the leaders to discuss elections-related issues in a safe and secure environment.
