President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has congratulated the newly elected Senators around the country.
Galmudug elected its remaining two senators on November 12 to ensure that the country now has the full set of 54 Senators in the Upper House.
Farmaajo congratulated them later on Saturday.
He also commended Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble for ensuring that the elections took place even in the midst of unrivalled challenges.
Additionally, the President recognized the incredible work by the different electoral commissions at the federal and regional state levels for the good work.
Farmaajo also mentioned the role of the Dispute Resolution Committee, which was responsible for resolving all the disputes arising out of the elections.
Somali National Army (SNA) and the various security teams came under praise from President Farmaajo for ensuring that the elections took place in a secure environment.
