President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo congratulated Banadir for winning the Inter-States football tournament.
Banadir football team was declared the new champions after defeating Galmudug in the finals held at Mogadishu Stadium towards the end of December 2020.
While congratulating the champions, President Farmaajo also applauded the spirited efforts of the team from Galmudug.
He expressed pride at all the people and teams who took part in the tournament.
Similarly, President Farmaajo urged the young people of Somalia to use the tournament as a motivation in pursuing their sporting dreams.
