President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has promoted Farhan Qarole, the Mogadishu police boss, to Brigadier.
Prior to the promotion, Qarole had been Lieutenant Colonel.
Forthwith, he would be known as Brigadier Qarole.
The Mogadishu police boss moves to this new rank after bypassing that of Colonel, which usually comes immediately after Lieutenant Colonel.
Qarole is not yet 40 years old.
