President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has finally declared his candidacy in the upcoming presidential elections.
Farmaajo announced that he would present himself for reelection in this week’s polls.
He made the announcement on Sunday, May 8.
The East African nation is scheduled to hold its presidential elections on May 15 to conclude a two-year electioneering period.
Farmaajo now joins the more than 10 candidates for whom the federal parliament would vote for as the new president on Sunday.
