President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo held a meeting with the Mayor of Mogadishu and security chiefs on March 26.
Farmaajo’s meeting with Mayor Omar Filish as well as military and police chiefs took place at Villa Somalia on Saturday.
The meeting comes in the wake of the recent deadly terror attacks in Mogadishu and Beledweyne, which killed close to 60 people.
The terror attacks took place this past Wednesday.
Six people died in the Mogadishu attack while around 50 individuals lost their lives in Beledweyne.
President Farmaajo urged the security chiefs to improve security in the national capital.
He also advocated for increased vigilance to prevent similar attacks from taking place in Mogadishu or elsewhere in the country.
