Farmaajo Urges Warring Parties in Galgadud to Embrace Peace and Dialogue

Ex-President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo requested warring parties in Galgadud to embrace peace and dialogue.

Farmaajo issued the call to those involved in the ongoing tribal clashes in Galgadud on Monday.

He asked the federal government to work closely with the Galmudug administration and traditional elders to restore peace and security in Galgadud.

The former President called the recurring violence “tragic and unfortunate.”

Galgadud has been a hotbed of violent conflicts for years.

The latest clashes, which kicked off on June 8, have left more than 50 people dead and over 60 others injured.
