Wanlaweyn District in Somalia’s Southwest State is on high alert as local authorities address growing concerns over outbreaks of measles and malaria.
In response, awareness campaigns have been launched to educate residents on identifying symptoms, taking preventive measures, and seeking early treatment.
District Commissioner Abdikadir Mohamed Abdullahi, in a phone interview with local media network, emphasized the urgent need for support from health organizations to help manage and contain these outbreaks.
