Mogadishu, Somalia – The Deputy Minister of Health of Somalia, Dr. Mohamed Hassan Bulaale, recently met with SSC-Khaatumo State’s Minister of Health, Dr. Yusuf Sancad, and Member of Parliament Osman Juba to discuss ways to strengthen health services in the region.
The high-level meeting focused on expanding access to essential healthcare in SSC-Khaatumo, with key areas including maternal care, immunization programs, emergency medical response, and workforce training.
Dr. Bulaale reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to working closely with regional authorities to ensure equitable health service delivery across all Somali territories.
The parties agreed to enhance cooperation on joint programs aimed at addressing urgent needs and building long-term health infrastructure in SSC-Khaatumo.
The visit marked a step toward improved coordination between federal and regional health institutions, as Somalia works to rebuild its healthcare system and reach underserved communities.
