The federal Minister of Finance addressed the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) roundtable for Somalia.
Dr. Elmi M. Nur, the finance minister, addressed the HIPC roundtable alongside Vicky Ford, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Chelmsford.
Ford is also a United Kingdom (UK) Minister for Development.
The top leadership of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was present during the presentation by Dr. Nur.
The World Bank and other major creditors deployed their representatives to the meeting too.
Dr. Nur spoke about Somalia’s national economic track record as well as its outstanding benchmarks.
