The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has airlifted food supplies to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the regional state of Southwest.
On Monday, June 27, a plane carrying the food items left Aden Adde International Airport to Hudur Airport.
Apart from the food, the plane was also full of a government delegation.
Khadija Diriye and Osman Dubbe led the government delegation from Mogadishu.
Diriye is the federal Minister of Humanitarian Affairs while Dubbe serves as the Minister of Information, Tourism, and Culture.
Vulnerable families in the IDP camps will start receiving the food with immediate effect.
