Federal Members of Parliament (MPs) have visited the newest liberated town in Somalia to assess the humanitarian situation.
The legislators joined traditional leaders and elders in visiting El-Dheer, a town in the Galgadud region, on Thursday.
Up until earlier this week, El-Dheer was in the hands of Al-Shabaab terrorists.
However, a combined force comprising Somali National Army (SNA) and local communities got them out of the region.
During their visit, the elders and MPs also assessed the needs of local residents.
