A minister in the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) traveled to Galmudug on Wednesday to assess the impact of climate change in the region.
Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzumi, the federal Minister of Environment and Climate Change, arrived in Hobyo on December 7.
Hobyo is a coastal town in the regional state of Galmudug.
Al-Makhzumi is in the town and other surrounding areas to assess the impact of climate change on the environment.
She also intends to hold consultative meetings with members of the local community.
