Federal legislators from Somalia’s Southwest State have condemned the pro-Ethiopia demonstrations in Hudur.
Local authorities mobilised a few residents of Hudur to demonstrate in support of Ethiopia.
The demonstrations are shocking considering that Somalia and Ethiopia are in the midst of a serious diplomatic spat.
The lawmakers expressed concerns over the demonstrations, emphasizing the importance of respecting Somalia’s sovereignty and unity.
They called for dialogue and peaceful resolution of any grievances to maintain national stability and cohesion.
