The federal parliament of Somalia has endorsed the country’s 2022 budget.
Since June 28, the House of the People (Lower House) and Senate (Upper House) have been debating the budget for the last three days.
On Thursday, 204 legislators debated and agreed to approve the budget.
A joint session of both chambers of the federal parliament held a robust debate for the third day before passing the largest budget in the country’s history.
Somalia needs $918.7 million to finance government programs for the next year.
