Mohamed Irro, the Chairperson of the Federal Election Implementation Team (FEIT), held a meeting with James Swan, the United Nations Special Representative to Somalia.
The meeting between Irro and Swan took place on December 12 in Mogadishu.
During Sunday’s meeting, the discussions between Irro and Swan focused on the need for holding credible, transparent, and fair elections.
Somalia is currently holding elections for House of the People (Lower House) seats.
Various stakeholders have complained about the lack of transparency and fairness in the ongoing elections.
Delegates are responsible for electing Members of Parliament (MPs) at the regional level.
