Somalia’s Federal Elections Implementation Team (FEIT) held a meeting on women’s quota in Barowe.
FEIT Women’s Quota Department held the meeting on Monday, December 20.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways of securing the 30 percent quota for women in the ongoing elections for the House of the People (Lower House) seats.
Thus far, the East African nation has made great strides in this year’s elections regarding increased representation in both the Upper and Lower houses.
However, there is belief that more needs to happen to guarantee increased women representation.
