The Federal Elections Implementation Team (FEIT) has urged three regional states to hold elections for House of the People seats.
Specifically, FEIT directed HirShabelle, Jubbaland, and Puntland states to hold their Lower House elections within the next 48 hours.
FEIT issued the directive on December 13.
Delegates in several regions around the country have already elected some of their new Members of Parliament (MPs) to the federal parliament.
HirShabelle, Jubbaland, and Puntland are yet to hold theirs.
