The Federation of Somali Journalists (FESOJ) has condemned the vicious attack against a female journalist.
Local authorities in Waberi District attacked Safiya Osman, a journalist working for Shabelle TV as a correspondent.
Circumstances surrounding the attack are unclear.
Consequently, FESOJ has requested authorities to launch investigations to determine why Osman was the subject of the ruthless attack.
Currently, reports indicate that Osman is in hospital receiving treatment for the wounds inflicted upon her during the attack.
