Federation of Somali Journalists (FESOJ) conducted two-day training for journalists and police officers in Galkayo.
The training kicked off on Tuesday, October 27 and ended on October 28.
It involved 25 journalists and 10 police officers.
FESOJ organized the training in conjunction with VIKES Finland, a Finnish foundation dedicated for media and development.
Finland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided funding for the training.
Some of the topics covered during the training include safety of journalists, freedom of expression, and public order in Galkayo.
The training was conducted in preparation for the upcoming elections in Somalia.
