Mohamed Ibrahim Moalimuu, a former journalist with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has been appointed the new Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) spokesperson.
Until recently, Moalimuu served as the Secretary General of the Federation of Somali Journalists (FESOJ).
He was outspoken in his position as the FESOJ Secretary General.
Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble confirmed Moalimuu’s appointment as the new government spokesperson on December 29, 2020.
Moalimuu is also assuming responsibility as the new Senior Media Advisor to the Prime Minister.
