The Federation of Somali Trade Unions (FESTU) reiterated its commitment to advocate for a progressive labor agenda in the country.
Omar Faruk Osman, the Secretary-General of the National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ), assured the public of this in a recent high-level meeting with a delegation from the International Labor Organization (ILO).
Osman and other FESTU officials held discussions with a delegation led by Alexio Musindo, the ILO Director for Horn of Africa countries.
FESTU assured Musindo’s team of their sole focus of delivering tangible results for Somali workers.
NUSOJ Secretary-General described the talks as quite productive.
