The Federation of Somali Trade Unions (FESTU) has announced plans to attend the United Nations climate conference scheduled for November 2022.
FESTU intends to attend the conference that would be held to enable participants to discuss ways of tackling the climate emergency.
The Somali organization promised to not only take part but also use its collective voice to influence decisions and put forward its demands for a just transition.
The conference, which is known as COP27, kicks off on November 6-18 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
