Dr. Abdirahman Beileh, the Minister of Finance, has called Somalia’s private sector a “key asset” in building the economy.
Beileh said this during a meeting held in Mogadishu to discuss the role and importance of the private sector.
“The private sector is a vital cog in our efforts to pursue economic development,” the finance minister said on November 17.
“The reforms that the Federal Government of Somalia is embarking on would bear no fruit without the contribution of the private sector,” Dr. Beileh said.
He encouraged the private sector to continue playing their role in ensuring that the country builds a strong economy that benefits all Somalis.
The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) supported the event that took place in the nation’s capital on Tuesday.
