Somalia’s Minister of Finance held discussions on the ongoing economic reforms in the country with several officials from the United Kingdom.
Dr. Abdirahman Beileh, the finance minister, held a meeting with the UK officials at the British Embassy in Mogadishu on May 24.
Simon Mustard, Philip Parham, and Kate Foster were among the officials who met the finance minister.
Mustard is the Director for Africa in the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Organization (FCDO) department of Her Majesty’s government.
Parham serves as the UK Special Envoy to the Red Sea.
Foster is the UK Ambassador to Somalia.
They all agreed to identify ways of protecting and strengthening the gains Somalia has made in its economic reforms.
