Dr. Abdirahman Beileh, Somalia’s Minister of Finance, has welcomed the decision by the Federal Parliament to approve the revised 2020 budget.
Beileh expressed his “gladness” on Twitter.
In his tweet, he mentioned that the COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc in the country and forced the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) to revise the budget.
Beileh assured parliamentarians of his ministry’s commitment to continue mobilizing domestic revenue.
He also reassured Somalis that the finance ministry remains committed to improving Public Finance Management.
Further, Beileh indicated that his ministry is focused on releasing funds for financing the delivery of basic services to the public.
