The Minister of Finance has inspected several tax collection points in Somaliland.
Saad Ali Shire, the finance minister, was in the Marodi-Jeh region to inspect the tax collection points.
Later, he spoke with the media.
In his address to the media, Shire said that the ministry had encouraged its staff to increase revenue collections.
He inspected the centers on May 25.
Shire advised the ministry’s personnel to share their challenges with his office for immediate attention.
According to Shire, the inspection also enabled him to evaluate the quality of services that taxpayers receive from the tax collectors.
