Somalia’s Minister of Finance, Bihi Egeh, presented the 2025 national budget to a joint session of the Federal Parliament on Wednesday, highlighting a total of $1,342,476,311.
Egeh presented the budget to lawmakers from the House of the People and Senate.
This represents a substantial increase of over 24% compared to the previous year’s budget.
The rise reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to boost economic growth, enhance fiscal capacity, and continue its path toward self-sufficiency.
The budget’s allocation will likely focus on key areas such as security, infrastructure development, social services, and economic reforms to support national development priorities.
