Officials from Somaliland’s Ministry of Finance held a farewell ceremony for representatives from the Oxford Policy Management Ltd (OPM).
The OPM experts have been in the country for the last five years.
Part of their mandate included collaborating in and implementing the Public Financial Management Reform Program.
The program is a joint project between Somaliland’s finance ministry and the United Kingdom government via the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
Officials from the finance ministry held the farewell party for experts from OPM on Saturday, March 26.
Dr. Saad Ali Shire, the Minister of Finance, attended the farewell event in the company of other ministry officials.
OPM’s Somaliland Country Director, Owen Wilcox, was at the event together with his team of experts.
The OPM experts received Somali cultural artifacts and books as gifts from the ministry officials.
